Bethany Food Pantry
The Bethany Food Pantry provides food two times a month for Bethany residents in need.  Currently, the pantry is open the first and third Tuesday of the month from 4:00 to 5:00.   It is housed next door to the church in what was at one time the church parsonage.  The address is 214 S. St. John St.  People are invited into the house and can choose food that they need for themselves and their family.
Consistent needs:  paper products, cleaning supplies including laundry soap, sugar or anything out of the ordinary.
Needs now: Hamburger Helper, large cans of soup, spaghetti sauce, Spaghetti O's, and anything that you would buy for yourself!
Please!  At this time (January 13, 2023), we do not need any canned vegetables or macaroni and cheese!

Sunday School
We have one Sunday School class for adults at 9:30.
We also have a Children’s Church during the Worship Service. Children participate in the beginning of Worship and then go to Children’s Church where they learn and grow in their faith.

Bethany Celebration
Members of FCC help out at the Bethany Celebration by having games for kids to play.

Prayer Group
We have a prayer group at FCC that meets weekly. As they gather, they share prayer concerns for those within the church, community, and world.

Prayer Chain
In addition to the Prayer Group, at FCC we have a Prayer Chain. This is for those in need of immediate prayer. People on the “chain” are notified and intentional prayer is given.

Funeral Dinners
When a member of the congregation passes away, the members of the church provide a meal for the family after the service.

Christmas Eve Service
Every year on Christmas Eve our church family as well as friends and extended family join in the church sanctuary to share in a Christmas Eve Service. In the service we hear wonderful Christmas music, hear the Christmas story in scripture, a short homily, sing, and end the service gathered around the sanctuary lighting candles and singing “Silent Night" and "Joy to the World".

Children’s Christmas Program
Every year, a week or two before Christmas, the children have a short program during the end of the worship service. In this time they share with the congregation stories and songs they have learned in Children’s Church.

Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the Season of Lent. We observe Ash Wednesday as members and friends of the congregation gather to begin the 40 day journey to Easter.

Easter Egg Hunt
On the Saturday before Easter, FCC has a community wide Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 0 thru 4th grade. Children enjoy finding eggs filled with candy as well as finding small stuffed animals and toys.

Observation of Mother’s Day & Father’s Day
During the Worship Service on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, the children present the women (on Mother’s Day), and men (on Father’s Day) who are present that day in Worship with a small token of love.

Fall Wiener Roast
In the Fall, parishioners and friends like to gather around the fire pit on the church lawn and share stories and a meal. It’s good fellowship!

Village Parades
We also find joy in participating in community parades.

Church Cleanup Days
Occasionally we will have Church Cleanup Days in which we gather together to repair and beautify the church. We paint, plant flowers, clean up etc. to better welcome people to our church building.

A place where all are loved.

To be and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, witnessing, loving and serving from our doorsteps
“to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
